Op de website van Eleonore de Ruuk is nu haar nieuwe winter 2008-2009 collectie te bezichtigen; "Beware of the wolf". De collectie is geïnspireerd op het muzikale sprookje "Peter en de wolf".
De hoofdfiguren in het verhaal zijn Peter en de wolf. Daarnaast spelen een kat, een eend en een vogel de bijfiguren. Het sprookje is bedoeld om kinderen in contact te brengen met klassieke muziek en de sfeer en gevoelens die je kan creeëren door middel van instrumenten. Alle karakters in het verhaal zijn vertaald door instrumenten. In de collectie staan de sfeer die het sprookje weergeeft en het bos waar het verhaal plaatsvindt centraal. Net als het sprookje geeft de collectie een speelse maar ook een duistere sfeer weer.
De wolf komt terug in prints en in de vormgeving, maar niet op een overduidelijke manier. De prints zijn bijvoorbeeld onherkenbaar doordat de figuren (Peter, de wolf etc.) in elkaar overlopen en herhaald worden. De kop van de wolf is verwerkt dmv prints en grafische vormen dmv deelnaden in jurkjes, truien en rokken.
Hoodies ontbreken wederom niet, maar zijn dit keer verwerkt op een ongebruikelijke manier. Bijvoorbeeld in zakken, tassen, mouwen en verwerkt als col. De patronen van zakken zijn verwerkt op verschillende plekken en ook op verschillende manieren (geroteerd) in tops, als mouwen en over andere zakken heen.
De kleuren van deze collectie zijn warme herfstkleuren zoals vaal en roestig oranje, olijf en bosgroen, donker en aubergine paars, beige, zwart en brons.

The website of Eleonore de Ruuk has been updated with her new winter 2008-2009 collection; "Beware of the wolf". The collection is inspired by the musical fairytale "Peter and the wolf".
The stories main characters are Peter and the wolf. Other characters are a cat, a duck and a bird. It is a fairytale for children to learn about classical music and the atmosphere and feelings you can create with them. The characters in the story are all translated by instruments. The feeling the story gives and the forrest where the story takes place are translated into the designs. Just like the story the collection has a playfull yet a bit of a dark side at the same time.
The wolf comes back in prints and shapes, but not in an obvious way. For instance one print exists of Peter, the wolf and the other characters in the story.
But the characters are almost unrecognisable because it's a repeated pattern. The head of the wolf is translated in prints and in graphical shapes created by dividing seams in skirts, dresses and sweaters.
Hoodies are as always not left out, but this time in a more unusual way. For instance as pockets, bags, in sleeves and as collars.
The patterns of pockets are used at different places and in different ways (rotated) as well; in tops, as sleeves and over other pockets.
The colours for this collection are warm autumn colours like faded and rusty orange, olive and forrest green, dark and eggplant purple, beige, black and bronze.
